MARTIN DESMARAS has over 30 years of experience in international business management in the American, European and Asian continents, performing across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, including chemical, metal-mechanical, agricultural, processed food, wine, textile, plastics, and high technology, where he has designed and implemented strategies for firms seeking to internationalize.

Founder of the Cambra (Brazil), Santa Trade (Singapore), and Global Innovation Center (Singapore) international business centers, his areas of expertise include internationalization strategies, localization strategies, market intelligence, and startup. He is also a mentor for the European Innovation Council (Belgium), Helsinki Incubators (Finland), and Helboost (Finland), and captures funding and M&A deals for MedTech and ESG startups and scaleups.

Martin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (USAL – Argentina), a Master’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology (UFPE – Brazil), and a PhD in Management Studies (Exeter University – UK), specializing in supply chain management. He was a university lecturer in global business, management of the multinational firm and cross-cultural management in the United States, Brazil, Malaysia and Taiwan. He is currently a lecturer of Business and the Business Environment and Managing a Successful Business Project at the Helsinki School of Business, Finland.

He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
